Press Release Client: The Goose Island Beer Company ![]()
Chicago Home
Town Beer to the Rescue
Many people would argue that change has long been overdue in Washington D.C. It’s hard to believe that such a thing could happen in a democracy, but the simple truth was that you couldn’t find Goose Island beer anywhere in our nation’s capitol. That has finally changed. Chicago has sent Barack Obama, his trusty team of Chicago advisors and Chicago’s own Goose Island beer to the shores of the Potomac. The inauguration wouldn’t be the same without some proper Chicago beer and help is on the way. “We’re going to have a lot of fun during inauguration week,” says Greg Hall of Goose Island. “We’ll be serving Chicago beer at both black tie affairs like the Heartland Dinner and alternative events like the Big Shoulders Ball at the Black Cat.” Goose Island will also be available at legendary Washington D.C. watering holes like Capitol Hill’s Hawk and Dove, where it is hoped that our nation’s leaders will sit down over a pint of Honkers Ale, stop bickering and start working together. For
off-premise inauguration parties shoppers can pick up Goose Island beer at
Washington D.C.’s grocery and liquor stores. “It’s flying off the
shelves,” says the local distributor. “Lots of folks already knew about
Goose Island; you just couldn’t get it here.” The
Goose Island Beer Company crafts more than 50 beers in its two brewpubs
and Chicago brewery, and ships its flagship brands to 15 states and the
United Kingdom. Goose Island recipes have consistently received top marks
at prestigious competitions such as the World Beer Awards and the Great
American Beer Festival, and the company has earned a reputation as a world
class center of excellence in brewing. |
